MissionWe are seeking a dynamic and creative Communication and Community Manager to join EPFL Transversal Skills and Career Center. This role is pivotal in enhancing the visibility and understanding of the Center's missions among EPFL students, industry partners, and our academic collaborators. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective communication strategies and community engagement that foster awareness and build meaningful connections.Main duties and responsibilitiesStrategic Communication: In close collaboration with Center's director, develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that clearly convey the Center's objectives, initiatives, and successes to a diverse audience, including students, industry leaders, and academic partners.Content Creation: Craft engaging content for various platforms such as social media, newsletters, press releases, and the Center's website and EPFLcareer platform to highlight initiatives, events, and key achievements.Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders through regular updates, interactive sessions, and feedback mechanisms (particularly with student associations and representatives, and their communication teams). Collaborate with Center's team members in organising and coordinating events that promote the Center's activities and encourage participation and collaboration with partners on campus and externally.Brand Management: Ensure consistent branding across all communication channels and materials.Data-Driven Insights: Utilise analytics tools to gauge the reach and impact of communication campaigns, making data-informed decisions to enhance engagement and visibility. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and adapt plans as necessary to maximise impact.What we are looking forRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a Bachelor in other fields but with more substantial experience in Communication and Community engagementMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in communication, community management, or public relationsStrong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in both French and EnglishProficient in digital marketing and social media platforms (LinkedIn and Instagram)Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environmentDemonstrated ability to develop and execute successful communication strategiesProfile:Experience in creating diverse content in Canva and/or Adobe Suit and administration of Wordpress web pagesShowing interest in future professionals career development and skills trainingBeing able to think out of the box and solve problems in a creative wayBeing able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with great attention to detailHaving a capacity to address different audiences (industry and academic) based on their needsBeing flexible concerning the work schedule and able to deal with short deadlinesIndependent, proactive, resourceful, able to summarise complex content, curious to learn new skills and master new toolsWe offerA dynamic, interdisciplinary, and international work environmentAn active role in contact with internal and external stakeholdersHigh-quality continuous training and Flexible working hoursApplication processInterested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and two examples demonstrating their ability to communicate effectively.
