OverviewAbout DepartmentThe People and Culture function provides human resources essential for the fulfilment of the MFSA’s mandate, covering recruitment, retention, and learning and development. Adopting an HR Business Partner approach to talent management, the function places employees at the heart of the Authority’s mission, reflecting the drive being undertaken to bring about change and organisational growth. The team implements other staff-related provisions, including the MFSA Ethics Framework, Occupational Health and Safety, and training programmes under the Financial Supervisors Academy (FSA).About RoleThe HR Officer plays a critical role in HR Operations, focusing on managing HR data and systems effectively. This position is responsible for overseeing various HR activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate HR records and systems.Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations;
  • Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy in HR systems;
  • Administer employee benefits programs such as life and health insurance and provide support to employees on benefits-related inquiries;
  • Track and process employee referral incentives according to established guidelines;
  • Conduct background checks on prospective employees;
  • Serve as a point of contact for Jobsplus and coordinate related tasks;
  • Prepare and submit reports to external agencies; and
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
