Check our Careers Site at .This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Medical Laboratory Sciences Intern, you will be responsible for:
  • You will use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests.
  • You will identify, diagnose, and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment and systems.
  • You will verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen.
  • You will label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable.
  • You will perform the execution of all testing protocols.
  • You will create an Engineering Problem Report (EPR) when issues are identified.
  • You will provide timely feedback to the System Engineering team members on system functionality.
  • You will ensure the maintenance of a suitable infrastructure for Systems Testing activities including, but not limited to, maintaining instruments, laboratory spaces, supplies, and equipment.
  • You will follow all safety measures, as issued, and outlined by Site EHS, including following biohazard rules for a BSL-1 and BSL-2 laboratories (depending on location/activities) under supervision of Lead Staff
  • You will work in a laboratory setting for extended periods of time, including long periods of sitting, standing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

  • You are pursuing studies as MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist)
  • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions
  • Willingness to work within a diverse team
Required skills and education to have for the success of this role:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Medical Laboratory Scientist (minimum rising senior preferred)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
