The Urgency Room, operated by Emergency Physicians PA, offers a new and better way for patients to receive emergency medical care. We are currently accepting applications for qualified candidates looking to provide top-quality patient care as a Certified Medical Assistant on our clinic medical support team at our 3 locations in Minnesota. To learn more about The Urgency Room please visit our website at .Responsibilities/ Job Description * Required to assist healthcare personnel in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care instruction
  • Work closely with patients who are sick or injured assisting and/or preparing patients for examination treatments, and procedures
  • Anticipate clinician or healthcare professional procedure needs, ensure necessary tools and supplies are ready in advance
  • Ensure that patient treatment and exam rooms are kept clean and organized for future patients
  • Assist in preparation and/or collection of blood samples and specimens, dressing wounds, and administering medications as delegated
  • Document patient vital signs and medical history into electronic healthcare record as directed
  • Perform various administrative tasks as assigned
  • Respond to emergency situations consistent with the level of training
  • Adhere to clinic policies and procedures
  • Performs other work and activities as required or assigned
Education, Skills, and Experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant from an accredited program (American Registry of Medical Assistants (RMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMA) through
the National Health career Association and able to maintain certification * Minimum 3 years of experience working in an acute ambulatory healthcare setting or hospitalRequired Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA, CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
