- Teach and evolve courses in machine learning or optimization
- Supervise master and doctoral students
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as data science, informatics, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or engineering.
- Solid research achievements documented through peer-reviewed publications in international journals or conference proceedings
- The ability and desire to teach.
- Teaching experience in academia, preferably formal training in university pedagogics
- Ability and interest in strengthening the theoretical understanding of methods introduced in the data science education program
- Experience in one or more of the following: optimization methods in machine learning, scientific machine learning, machine learning for model reduction, inverse problems in data science
- Teaching experience in data science or related topics
- Successful acquisition and management of external funding
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Fluency in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish is an advantage
- Ability to engage students and colleagues
- The engagement is to be made in accordance with the regulations in force concerning State Employees and Civil Servants, and the acts relating to Control of the Export of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology.
