This role will align to our Corporate Actions Team who facilitates and reviews complicated corporate action events and communicates key information effectively. Our team has strong knowledge of Voluntary, Mandatory, and Income (dividend & interest) processing, resolves discrepancies, acts on everyday matters, and answer inquiries from external clients as well as internal stakeholders.Duties/ResponsibilitiesCorporate Actions Processing: Execute end-to-end processing of corporate actions including but not limited to mergers, acquisitions, dividends, stock splits, and rights offerings.Data Analysis: Analyze corporate action announcements and associated data to assess potential impact on client portfolios and provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders.Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential risks and discrepancies in corporate action processing, collaborating with internal teams to implement appropriate controls and resolutions.Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries related to corporate actions, providing timely and accurate responses and proactive updates as needed.Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to corporate actions processing, ensuring adherence to relevant guidelines and standards.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline corporate actions processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, leveraging automation and technology where applicable.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other teams in our operations and technology divisions to facilitate seamless integration and alignment of corporate actions processing with broader operational initiatives.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the financial industry, preferably in roles related to: securities processing, brokerage operations, broker-dealer operations, equity trade lifecycle, corporate actions.FINRA SIE and Series 99 Required within 6 months of hire; Series 7 License preferred.Required Skills/AbilitiesAbility to make independent risk-based decisions as well as escalate appropriately.Ability to interpret an extremely high level of detail and succinctly summarize for senior audiences internally and externally.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to adapt messaging based on the audience.Excellent data gathering and analysis skills, utilizing reports, spreadsheets, web-based applications, and other software tools (SQL, Microsoft Office 365, etc.).Strong knowledge of/ or experience in Core Brokerage Operations functions.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an office environment.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
