Reports to: Professional Services ManagerPerson Specification:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT Support, computer science, or a related field.
- Previous MSP Experience in a Senior Project Role.
- Documentation of Client Networks.
- Key role within project service delivery.
- Acts as a resource on larger projects
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete task completion.
- Takes a personal interest in, and responsibility for, the quality of work they perform or are associated with.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail while performing technically detailed tasks.
- Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
- Ability and willingness to recognize when it is necessary to ask for technical expertise from others without unnecessarily burdening other team members.
- Ability to provide accurate time estimates for task completion, facilitating pre-sales engineering.
- Understands that the success of individuals is measured by the success of their teams.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies through ongoing training and development.
- Ability to articulate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical people.
- Enjoys helping people to the extent that no problem is considered mundane, no matter how simple the solution.
- Self-motivated and can be self-directed when necessary.
- Enjoys sharing information, through both written and verbal knowledge sharing, supporting others, and working on a team to achieve team goals.
- Server Configuration, troubleshooting, and management of Windows server OS.
- Perform migrations from legacy server OS to the latest editions.
- Proficient in Remote Desktop Services and third-party applications troubleshooting.
- Virtualization management including vSphere environments and Hyper V/Windows Virtualization.
- Familiarity with Converged/Hyper Converged systems and SAN Technologies.
- Networking skills including VLAN setup, routing protocols configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to configure firewalls, implement security guidelines, and set up VPNs.
- Experience in Backup and Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
- Knowledge of Cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365 setup and configuration.
- Wireless networking skills including WLAN, Wireless PTP, and Wireless PTMP.
- Microsoft server, Cisco networking, FortiGate firewall, Dell EMC Solutions, Ubiquiti wireless equipment, Microsoft Cloud Services, Datto BCDR
- Market-related salary based on experience
- Staff training and development plan (training/certifications company funded).
