The Press Assistant will understand and maintain quality standards while keeping up with production expectations as well as help with unloading, stacking or assist in other departments as needed.Some experience preferred but not required. Will typically need to master the Stacker position first or have on-press experience from another shop.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Gathering inks for press
Gathering necessary squeegees and flood bars
Washing squeegees/flood bars in wash tank if needed
Removing and scraping screens from Press during breakdown
Putting inks away
Press clean-up
Unloading shirts from Press while it is running
Quality control inspection while unloading
Minor trouble shooting
Learning Press Operator position
Helping in other departments as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Environmental Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat and humidity.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Physical Capabilities:Most positions may require employees to be on their feet all day.
