- Contributing to the advancement of functional capabilities by studying state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
- Demonstrating high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
- Operating in a highly autonomous environment, in performing activities requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor.
- Total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and scheduled completion date. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control.
- Initiating new areas of investigation that are meaningful, reliable, and can be incorporated directly into a scientific or business activity.
- Maintaining relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, and vendors in accordance with AbbVie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing to further the mission, vision, and goals of the organization.
- Understanding and adhering to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
- Mentoring/supervising a team, while guiding and evaluating the performance of those individuals.
- Windows server administration
- Infrastructure design and security hardening experience
- Network administration experience (to support troubleshooting)
- Oracle Database experience (primarily query writing)
- MES Administration/Troubleshooting (POMSnet preferred)
- End user compute experience
- SLC
- Bachelor's Degree with 10 years' experience; Master's Degree with 8 years' experience; or PhD with 6 years' experience.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience in which you were guiding, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of the team.
- Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of manufacturing execution systems and processes.
- Experience with a latest-gen manufacturing execution platform MES, such as PAS-X, POMS.
- Experience with manufacturing shopfloor equipment integration.
- Experience managing/supporting integration between platforms as the principal engineer.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting hosting infrastructure, networking connectivity, and system-to-system integration as the principal engineer.
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Experience with POMSnet (Aquila and/or R400)
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (Business or System side)
