- Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure that all employees adhere to policies on attendance, dress code, job requirements, and stay on
- Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating all activities related to the valet/garage operation.
- Recommend measures to improve performance, guest satisfaction and increase efficiency.
- Perform HPSA Service Standards training as required.
- Perform the “Daily Huddle” training topic during all shifts.
- Ensure that staff is following proper sign-in/out procedures
- Authorize and manage break schedules and other shift options as required.
- Ensure standards of professionalism and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing qualified applicants for each position.
- Recommend measures to improve employee morale and job satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to Operations Manager for associate performance reviews and evaluations.
- Provide input on personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, disciplinary measures and termination.
- Ensure quality assurance and supervisory visibility at all times to maintain high standards of quality,
- Assist Operations Leadership to monitor and enforce established dress code and hygiene guidelines,
- Provide suggestions for special tasks and maintenance issues that need attention
- Conduct lot inspections and suggest functional improvements as requested by Operations Manager.
- Conduct and Log Safe Work Observation Program audits (SWOP's) at the minimal weekly rate.
- Use any and all resources available to resolve immediate issues with customers, staff, or equipment.
- Maintain possession of, and utilize, assigned walkie-talkie or cell phone at all times for easy
- Perform all valet/garage-related tasks, as necessary.
- Able to act independently and make accurate decisions with exceptional focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to control flows of traffic.
- High degree of attention required preventing injury to others and damage to vehicles when operating
- Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Must maintain confidentiality of patients, visitors, staff and guests.
- Ability to operate equipment in assigned area.
- Proven ability to manage, train and develop a team.
- Proven experience building and maintaining professional working relationships.
- Ability to communicate information and policies in a manner easily understood by hospital patients,
- Ability to act independently and make accurate decisions.
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in an environment that is not necessarily protected from weather and temperature
pulling, climbing, balancing and crouching. * Ability to stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift.
- Education minimum: high school diploma or equivalent
- Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.
