And much more…Position Summary:Coordinates all financial aspects of the patient's hospitalization and/or office visits.Reports to: ManagerFLSA: Non-exemptEEO: □ 01 Officials and Managers □ 02 Professionals □ 03 Technicians □ 04 Sales Workers X 05 Administrative Support Workers □ 06 Craft Workers □ 07 Operatives □ 08 Laborers and Helpers □ 09 Service WorkersESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Interprets and explains to patients and their families charges, services and hospital policy regarding payment of bills.Bills third parties in accordance with standard procedures.Accurately maintains departmental records, reports, and files.Provides information to patients/families in a manner that considers safety, comfort, privacy and therapeutic environment.Maintains a strict sense of accountability.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Minimum Work Experience
1 year related experience
3 years in hospital/ physician setting (Preferred)
