- Sensors Design - work with senior research engineers to scope, develop and build low complexity custom test setups for sensors research projects; may include PCB design, programming, hands-on hardware build.
- Lab Experiments - under the guidance of senior engineers, perform sensors-oriented laboratory experiments; may include microbiological and chemical analysis.
- Data Analysis - analyze experimental data to identify trends and collaborate with research team to draw meaningful conclusions from the test results.
- Debugging - troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during custom test setup development and lab experimentation.
- Collaboration - work in a cross-functional team environment including electronics lab technicians and experienced team of researchers to deliver sensors research needs.
- Currently enrolled in accredited college/university for Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bio-/Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar field.
- Understanding of electronics, circuits, and basic principles of electrical engineering and computer programming.
- Comfortable in both electronics and wet lab environments; can run lab experiments and capture test data under supervision of senior staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with support from senior staff.
- Familiarity or prior experience with Python, C++, MATLAB, and Arduino a plus.
- Prior experience working in a chemistry, biochemistry, or microbiology lab also a plus.
