POSITION SUMMARYThe Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting HR functions and processes for the company. This role will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, such as recruiting, onboarding, building and improving company culture, employee relations, training, performance management and compliance. This role will use the HRIS to ensure all employee records are up to date and confidential. Additionally, this role will act as the main point of contact for employees' questions on HR related topics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHR Functions
  • Maintain electronic personnel files, records, and documentation, and ensure data integrity in HR database(s), while adhering to the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming employee requests and questions;
  • Act as the resource to support managers in responding to questions referencing benefits, time off, and policies and procedures;
  • Assist Leadership team with internal communication initiatives;
  • Work closely on HR projects, utilizing multiple reporting systems to analyze HR data and create metric summaries;
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations;
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals;
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed; and
  • Ensure managers and/or leads are providing the proper training for new hires.
  • Assist leadership in conducting recruitment effort for any and all open positions;
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process which includes but is not limited to sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, and onboarding;
  • Conduct new-employee orientations which include but are not limited to reviewing new hire paperwork, going through Company policies and procedures, providing a tour of store, and making introductions to other staff members; and
  • Provide new hires with mandatory Sexual Harassment training.
  • Employee Relations · Handle employee relation matters which include but are not limited to coaching managers, conducting investigations, researching policies and best practices, creating and gathering documentation, and coordinating escalations when necessary

QUALIFICATIONSIncumbents must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company's Employee Handbook. Incumbents will also contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner such that they get along with all constituent groups, co-workers, and management.In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in HR or equivalent professional experience preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of human resources experience preferred;
  • Knowledge of HR Policies & Procedures required
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws required

  • Bilingual - Spanish required

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
  • High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
  • Ability to learn how to use isolved payroll; and
  • Working knowledge of all standard office equipment;
