Lead ServerServes meals to patrons in dining establishments.Main Duties:
  • Greet guests, presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and beverage menu items and daily specials.
  • Working knowledge of spirits, beer and wines.
  • Writes order on check and enters ordered items in POS system.
  • Serves courses from kitchen and bar.
  • Prepare coffee tea and specialty coffee to order.
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Presents check and accepts payment and reconcile receipts.
  • Clears and resets counters and/or tables at conclusion of each course, arrange table setting.
  • Runs food from kitchen for outlet as directed by Chef or Manager.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including proper handling of alcohol and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol and comply with age verification requirements.
  • Maintain a clean work and organized environment and ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Oversee the opening, side and closing duties of dining areas and ensure tables are properly set.
  • Train new waitstaff and ensure they follow restaurant policies.
  • Assist manager in inventory counts and orders supplies as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Essential skills and experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years serving experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • The ability to multitask while providing exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide direction to restaurant employees.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have or be able to obtain within the introductory period, the following: TAPS card and Food Handlers Card.Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
