- Support the market-facing activities for ABEC's Advanced Therapy Bioreactor (ATB) products including sales, applications, marketing, and service.
- Act as primary customer interface for sales opportunities. Evaluate potential for partnerships/beta sites/trials. Develop and deliver proposals.
- Support marketing of the ATB products by providing product marketing content and presenting the product. Create effective content, including product presentations, white papers, conference presentations, website content and scientific publications.
- Team with ABEC technical functions including Engineering, Design, Automation, and Advanced Therapy Product Team to produce the appropriate technical content.
- Develop sales tools and deliver product training to Sales and Applications.
- Systematically gather, document, and report competitor capabilities and activity, as well as ABEC product differentiation versus competitors.
- Systematically gather, document, and report relevant cell therapy customer and industry information to support ongoing product and market strategy.
- Provide engineering and technical support to Advanced Therapy Product Team on an as-needed basis.
- Execute other tasks as assigned.
- Minimum 7 years' upstream and/or downstream bioprocess experience in pre-clinical, clinical, and/or commercial manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 2 years' customer communication experience in technical sales and/or service.
- In-depth understanding of cell and molecular biology as applied to bioprocessing, preferably with different product modalities (cell & gene therapy, monoclonal antibodies, DNA medicines, vaccines).
- Experience with bioprocess equipment design and operation.
- Strong analytical abilities and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively drive activity in a matrixed organization.
- BS Degree in engineering or a biological science.
- Ability to travel to internal sites and globally to customer sites; expected level of travel estimated about 30%.
