- Read and interpret drawings and specifications for use with estimating.
- Prepare quotes, pricing and estimates in consultation with peers and Branch Manager.
- Actively seek out and pursue business opportunities through existing and potential customers, and tender sites.
- Coordinate job costs and budgets - monitor throughout projects.
- Coordinate and meet with customers for site visits as required.
- Coordinate equipment availability and transportation to and from work sites.
- Source, price and coordinate delivery for materials required for work sites.
- Maintain daily reports, journals and other related site documentation
- Prioritize tasks and workforce to meet schedules and project requirements
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with local by-laws, provincial and federal legislation, and company environmental and safety policies and requirements
- Coordinate and manage day to day activities and on-site functions
- Responsible for the safety and management of employees on the job site
- Direct on-site sub-contractors, material and equipment suppliers and vendors on a daily basis
- Provide coaching and mentoring to peers and team members
- Prioritize tasks and workforce to meet schedules and project requirements
- Follow up with customers to ensure job requirements are being met in a timely fashion
- Enforce company policies to ensure work is done safely and efficiently
- Overseeing all related work functions and scope of the project
- Education Required: College Diploma in Engineering Technology, or University Degree in Engineering
- Experience in Piling and Deep Foundations.
- Experience estimating in a construction industry preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication is a requirement
- Demonstrate a history of strong leadership
- Strong organizational skills, coordinating and scheduling of work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication is a requirement
- Travel may be required throughout Atlantic Canada
- Weekend work will be required on occasion
