- Demonstrated expert proficiency in Computer-aided optical simulation and design.
- Multi-year experience in instrument design for biological and/or medical imaging.
- Strong experience in research instrumentation in the private (R&D) or public sector, preferably in biological and/or medical imaging.
- Solid experience with lasers sources and other optoelectronic instrumentation.
- Working scientific programming skills with modern structured languages (Python, C++, Rust, Go...).
- At least 2 years of experience in international settings (education and/or work).
- Strong appetite for novel optical technology at the forefront of research.
- Experience with regulatory framework of medical devices.
- Ability to delegate and control the execution of technical tasks.
- Curious, Eager to learn and grow.
- Interested in making a difference to the health of people.
- Working proficiency in digital electronics and analog circuits.
- Notions in mechanical design and CAD software (Solidworks, Fusion360, Inventor...).
- Major in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of research (or similar R&D work experience) in Optical Engineering / Optical Instrumentation.
- PhD strongly preferred.
