Are you someone who has a passion for solving electrical problems and working hands on to design & build products? We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Intern who uses electrical/electronic design to meet budget and customer requirements for electronic/electrical products. You will use your knowledge and experience to support engineering and operation departments. An Electrical Engineering Intern will use their technical problem solving for the development and/or production of well thought out solutions that minimize the risk to the organization, utilize existing resources keeping in mind the budget, schedule, quality, and specification requirements for each job.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineers to create and modify designs to ensure program work breakdown structure and schedule
  • Researching & ensure that design and components are sound with parts alternatives to assist in the manufacturing process while conform to standards and customer requirements
  • Create technical drawings and use version labeling & configuration management control to document designs (usually in Solidworks)
  • Conduct checks and testing to ensure products meet requirements for next team-member, engineer, manufacturing, and customer
  • Create various 3D models and 3D printing of various parts/components
  • Support various special projects and/or bid & proposals
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • At least two (2) years completed in an accredited Bachelor's program for Electrical Engineering-relevant course work may include: electrical circuits, signal processing, power engineering, control systems, circuit analysis, integrated circuits, electro-magnetics, photonics, and/or computer programming
  • Ability to read & create drawings/schematics
  • Excellent PC Skills in the Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows 7/8/10)
  • Proven Knowledge of CAD Software & Design Programming/Packages, preferable Solidworks knowledge and/or certification
  • A proven ability to organize and effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to Multi-Task While Meeting Deadlines/Deliveries
  • Enthusiasm for Engineering & Problems Solving!
Minimum Requirements Needed:
  • Working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science with coursework and general knowledge and understanding of Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science
  • Must have 2+ years of engineering school experience and/or hands-on, preferably in electrical/electronic design and/or the manufacturing industry
  • Successful Passage of Required Screenings & Tests: Online assessment, Reference, Credit, and Drug Testing
