Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead our financial management and accounting operations within our food manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, with a proven track record of success in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.Key Responsibilities: * Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
  • Track budget performance against actual results, investigating variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to department managers to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow projections and liquidity planning to ensure adequate funding for operational needs and capital investments.
  • Oversee cash management activities, including cash disbursements, collections, and banking relationships.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital efficiency.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of financial processes and systems to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance financial transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling to support business decision-making, investment evaluations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to various departments and stakeholders as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process improvements to drive business performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
