Job Description:Provides clinical leadership and oversight for the management and execution of defined clinical focus areas for a group of service lines. Is a dynamic leader with strong initiative, facilitation, and collaboration skills. Effective and credible across all levels of the organization including medical staff and senior leadership. Solid understanding of data analysis, clinical outcome and process measures, statistical analysis, skilled in interpretation and reporting of results to different stakeholders. A strategic thinking with proven ability to translate service line vision, growth strategies, and actions that will drive clinical outcomes. Possesses a track record of success in partnership with physician and practitioner leaders for clinical quality improvement.Responsibilities:Major Duties:Assists with the design of the infrastructure to support Centra's improvement efforts with Pay for Performance Initiatives as they related to defined clinical service lines including:Leapfrog
Anthem QHIP
US New and World Report annual best hospital reports
CMS Measures and Publicly reported data
Star Rating ProgramsSubject matter expert regarding national clinical bodies of science regarding best practices for the service lines assigned, and provides evidence based and scientific literature to physician partners.Proficient user in Centra Clinical Database Systems with the ability to create reports, presentations, and present data in a manner clinically relevant to the audience as needed to drive clinical advancement.Serves on Service Line committees as coordinator for the agenda, performance improvement tracking, tracking tactics and results, and bringing collaborative suggestions and recommendations to the committee regarding best practices and implementation plans.Partners strongly with the Quality Management and Patient Safety programs to maintain a clinically competitive edge for Centra that is patient-centered, safe, equitable, efficient, effective, and timely.Serves as the point of contact for hospital leadership for national improvement data and processes for improvementEvaluates products needed to provide comparative and benchmarking quality data including outcomes, complications, mortality, and data needs at the hospital and physician level.Partners with service line stakeholders on clinical data needs related to quality management and patient safety.Makes independent decisions regarding advancing service line teams for high performing teams and exemplary clinical performance. Collaborates with physician leadership and partners with hospital leadership for the development of the service line committees and teams needed to drive publicly reported and financially rewarded quality.Leads improvement teams at the system level.Prepares for needed infrastructure to keep Centra competitive with quality metrics and patient safety performance.Qualifications:Required Education: Masters DegreeRequired Experience: 2 years' experience in clinical data analysis. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet timelines. Proficient in using Microsoft office suite of products. Experience in working with senior level leaders for hospitals and physician leaders. Highly skilled in use of technology systems including Electronic Medical Records, Clinical Data Base Systems, ability to search Peer Reviewed Clinically relevant scientific journal.Preferred Certifications/Licensures: ARNP, CPHQ, or other clinical certifications relevant to a high priority service line
