- Assist library customers by reserving, checking-in, checking-out and renewing library materials.
- Answer general questions and provide information on library and, when possible, college policies, procedures, and programs; refer patrons needing additional assistance to librarians.
- Assist library customers with operating library computers, copy machines, printers, scanners, and other equipment provided for public use.
- Sort, retrieve, shelve collection items according to procedure and Library of Congress classification system.
- Help students to connect to CCBC online systems and troubleshoot software issues.
- Manage collection item- and user- records of the integrated library system.
- Operate other internal library function management software.
- Provide customer service to students needing assistance with Brightspace and Microsoft Office, and other learning technologies as needed.
- Participate in inventory and shelf-reading of the collections.
- Open and close the library as required and keep the public service desk area neat and organized.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a quality academic library atmosphere that is welcoming, organized, well-kept, safe and most of all conducive to learning.
- Monitor and maintain library calendar systems.
- Create and maintain library signage, marketing, and educational materials
