IT Support Specialist Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
IT Support Specialist Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, 1 hour lunch (On site position)
IT Support Specialist Start Date: ASAP! Hiring ImmediatelyWe are seeking an IT Support Specialist for a 6+month contract opportunity with our customer, a large print, fulfillment and distribution company located in Orange County! The IT Support SpecialistAs an IT Support Specialist you will be responsible for:Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications problems. Resolve user-reported issues using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.Monitor Zendesk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority. Provide support via telephone, email, and chat.Provide application support to team members, investigate, troubleshoot, resolve software, technical issues related to application functionality, performance and configuration.Collaborate with other team members to analyze and identify root causes of issues, propose solutions, ensure effective resolutions, work on long-term solutions to prevent reoccurrence, and improve our systems and processes.Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the support workflow.Work with IT service providers (TechMD and 1nteger) to provide ongoing troubleshooting, customer service, and IT support for all employees.Educate users on best practices for data security, password management, and general IT-related topics. Share knowledge and insights with team members, promoting continuous learning and skill development.Perform administrative tasks in various systems (Office365, Google Workplace, phone system, etc.)Provide direction to IT service provider(s) for configuration and deployment of desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Assist with installations as needed.Maintain asset inventory and procure new hardware as neededMaintain and troubleshoot A/V meeting and conferencing equipmentTrain users on new or updated hardware and softwareDocument all tech support tasks and actions taken, creating a knowledge base for future reference.Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades and the implementation of new technologies, and audits.Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.The IT Support Specialist Requirements:2+ years of Helpdesk/IT Support experienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field required.Experience with installing and troubleshooting desktop PC hardware such as monitors, laptops, and peripherals.Familiarity with IT office equipment, networking, firewalls, and AV integrationsExperience troubleshooting and managing Microsoft Office 365, Google Workplace, Windows OS, macOS, Azure Cloud, and active directory.Fundamental understanding of cyber security and IT risk management preferred.Continuously develop knowledge and proficiency in the company’s technology, products, and services.Ability to quickly learn and integrate new concepts and 3rd-party software tools.Proven ability to prioritize and work independently for assigned tasks as well as working collaboratively in a team environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in Root Cause Analysis reporting.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver within tight deadlines.Proven track record of process improvement and automation implementation.If you believe you are a qualified candidate for our IT Support Specialist role, please click apply below to apply on our website! role, please click apply below to apply on our website!#HSIR
