Commercial Banking Credit Underwriting Quality Assurance AssociateCountry: United States of AmericaThe Commercial Banking Credit Underwriting Quality Assurance Associate (Associate, Risk Management) leverages their subject matter expertise in second line defense to improve existing processes and practices. They lead special risk mitigation projects and/or programs, business continuity and other incident response and security related activities supporting industry best practices, improved efficiency, effectiveness and risk reductions.Position entails performing Quality Assurance over commercial credit underwriting and analysis through the completion of test scripts/workpapersPosition requires commercial credit underwriting background with the ability to analyze cash flows, collateral and assess compliance with credit policies and standardsAbility to analyze C&I, CRE/Multifamily and specialty lines of business/products in the middle market, mid-corporate and large corporate spacesFast-paced environment requiring excellent time-management and ability to adhere to deadlinesAbility to communicate effectively and guide QA team when leading QA reviews; team-player and collaborative with ability to be a self-starter and work independentlyAbility to synthesize and assimilate complex QA findings into a concise, succinct QA memo at the conclusion of reviewsAbility to present results at committee meetings and various forumsAbility to communicate effectively across the organization, including executive management, internal audit and regulatorsParticipate in the development and management of issues identified and the remediation of sameEngage in the further development of the QA program, policies and procedures, inclusive of special projectsBuilds positive relationships with executives, managers and teams, while developing an understanding of the business and strategic initiativesCoaches, reviews and delegates work to junior level professionalsEnhances governance processes in support of infrastructure builds and oversee strategic compliance / business solutionsIdentifies enterprise trends, synergies, and opportunities for changeInfluences others at an operational level regarding new concepts, best practices and approaches related to risk mitigation, risk identification and resolution, and/or risk managementInitiates change, integration, operationalization of new eventsLeads special risk mitigation projects and/or programs, business continuity and other incident response and security related activitiesLeverages subject matter expertise in second line to significantly improve existing processes and practicesMaintains a strong rapport with local risk teams to create a strong risk culture of performance and accountabilityOversees and ensures consistent quality control, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements for reporting processes., Represents organization as a primary contact for specific risk management projects and initiativesServes as a liaison between first and third lines of defenseSystematizes ad hoc reporting for line of businesses and team members to facilitate miscellaneous senior and executive management reporting and status updates as neededActs as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other team members.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management Finance, Economics or equivalent field or or equivalent work experience.
