Join our Contherm team as a Service Technician (work remotely anywhere in US), and use your technical skills to provide support to our global customer base. Alfa Laval Contherm products are scraped-surface heat exchangers, designed for heating and cooling operations in the continuous and semi-continuous processing of a vast number of food, health, and beauty products. This position offers overtime pay and bonus potential of up to 5% annually.As a Part of The Team, You Will
In this role, you will be able to shift gears frequently between customer interaction and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. You will also have the benefits of a small close knit business atmosphere while at the same time having access to the resources of a global multinational company to support your success.Provide both field and technical service support for worldwide customer base of Contherm Scrape Surface Heat Exchangers.
- Use product and process knowledge to adequately support troubleshooting initiatives.
- Call on customer base and be the face of Alfa Laval Service.
- Quote and process orders for spare parts, machine repairs and equipment upgrades.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for Service and Service Sales Engineers.
- Perform equipment mechanical and thermal audits.
- Provide technical training to internal and external partners.
- Support testing and demonstration of Contherm equipment.
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Mechanical application skills, refrigeration system knowledge, electrical controls and troubleshooting, or heat exchange understanding.
- Ability to communicate to all levels of customers clearly and accurately.
- Thorough knowledge of tools and testing instrumentation.
- Empathy, Presence, Initiative, Teamwork.
- Self-directed, highly driven, ability to multitask, prioritize workload and responsible.
- Excellent communication and people skills when face to face, emailing and by phone.
- Computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Travel will be about 60-75%
