Function Overview The Group Legal and Commercial Function is tasked with the key objective of protecting the Flutter brand, its customers, and shareholders. The function comprises a number of core areas including legal, risk, compliance and regulatory - including the Group strategy and roadmap for Safer Gambling - a key component of the Group's strategy. The Function will influence the strategic direction of the Group's four Divisions (US, Aus, UK/I and International) by setting the risk appetite and establishing the necessary governance, policies and standards to ensure our legal, risk, compliance and regulatory matters are managed in a robust and agile manner. Role Purpose The role of the Flutter Entertainment Plc ('Flutter' or 'the Group') Compliance function is to support, advise and enable the compliant delivery of the Group's strategic objectives across its brands ('Divisions'). The Group Data Protection team is responsible for facilitating the creation of a culture of data protection compliance, defining the Group's data protection framework and global data privacy standard , and for monitoring and reporting on the management of Group data protection activities. Reporting to the Group Head of Privacy & DPO, the Senior Data Protection Manager will play an essential role supporting the Group Data Protection team in building effective collaborative relationship across the Group while ensuring appropriate processes, systems and structures are in place for the development and lifecycle management of the Group's data protection objectives.While this role will have general Group Functions responsibilities it will also have local responsibilities for Group functions personal data processing in the Hyderabad location Accountabilities Specific responsibilities will include: Establishing and responsibility for effective management of a privacy framework in Hyderabad office. Acting as the local point of contact for any privacy related matters. Deploying effectively the Flutter global privacy standard in Hyderabad. Establishing and maintaining Group's policies and data protection framework. Supporting Group Head of Privacy & DPO and colleagues, both within Group and Divisions with privacy related matters. Assessing risks across the Group and providing strategic direction for Divisions. Performance of data protection impact assessments in collaboration with the Divisions. Preparing data protection reports and addressing queries from senior leadership and the Board, as required. Working with colleagues in other geographical locations, and within the Flutter Group, to enable the development of global standards, knowledge transfer and best practice. Providing professional advice and support to the Group and Divisions regarding various data protection compliance obligations and commitments requirements, both external and internal. Proactively resolving ad-hoc queries related to complex aspects of data protection related analysis and acting as a proactive subject matter expert when providing guidance around process, requirements and expectations. Developing materials for and managing the rollout of training and awareness initiatives across the Group and in particular Hyderabad. Establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with Lines of Defence across Group and Divisions. Promoting a culture of compliance and integrity across the Group and Divisions. Assisting in any other duties, as required by the Head of Privacy and DPO. Key Experience Educated to degree level, postgraduate qualification in data protection or related filed desirable. An experienced profession with 6+years data protection experience within in a similar size business and have a proven track record of delivering results in a challenging commercial environment. Solid understanding of data management, security and controls and risk management. Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate may be required to occasionally travel. Competencies Ability to work independently. Ability to proactively identify issues and associated risks, along with credibly challenging and providing practical solutions to a wide range of issues.
