If you're looking for a place that helps you do the best work of your career, look no further than BILL.Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech CompanyThe Employee Relations, Senior Manager conducts investigations into employee relations concerns and supports overall positive workforce engagement. The successful candidate will provide guidance, support, and make recommendations to resolve employee relations concerns. This position is both hands-on and strategic to provide investigative and employee relations expertise.What you'll do:
  • Conduct investigations in response to a range of employee relations concerns, that may include harassment, discrimination, retaliation, information security, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Communicate regularly regarding pending investigations and provide timely investigation reports with supporting documentation for all completed investigations
  • Partner with HRBPs and Legal/Compliance team in conducting investigations to provide counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns
  • Create and update HR policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations; conduct trainings on compliance with policies and procedures
  • Analyze employee relations trends with Leadership and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs and policies
  • Develop effective relationships with HR Business Partners to promote positive employee relations throughout the organization to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Manage our system of record and all documentation to align with all legal and compliance standards and best practices
  • Be the subject matter expert for the People team function on all matters of employee relations and stay current in changes to related laws and policies
  • Participate in projects led by the People/Legal Team as needed
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality
We'd love to chat if you have:
  • Eight + years of direct employee relations experience, corporate investigation experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of employee relations matters with a high degree of professionalism, credibility, and diplomacy
  • Takes a consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop credible relationships while reaching evidence-based conclusions
  • Experience as a self-starter with time-management and organizational skills, who effectively manages multiple tasks, achieves results independently, and possesses excellent writing and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability and experience to work independently to lead employee relations inquiries, investigations, and compliance projects
  • Maintains professionalism in emotionally charged situations
  • Maintain a lead by example approach related to Ethics and Compliance protocols
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to see trends across multiple data sets
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Experience with HR Acuity a plus
