Apply today!What you will be doingSummary:The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing team members in the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the team (organizing work, setting & communicating objectives, and motivating team)Coach & develop individuals (provide open & honest feedback, ensure on-the-job coaching, identify career development needsAct as role model towards the teamMonitor the quality of the delivery of the teamManage upwards (communicate team performance, inform superiors of issues & suggest solutions, give input & participate in decision making process)Coordinate developers' activities to deliver qualitative Business Intelligence applications, from design to testing to deployment to supportCommunicate with the users to collect and clarify requirements, monitor progressRegularly report project progress at all levels, including senior management and/or the sponsor/clientHelp the testing teams to define the strategy of data warehouseDevelop and define Business Intelligence priorities and strategy including assessment of current tools and processes to determine areas of improvement/efficiency that align to organizational goalsModel ABC’s Guiding Principles for direct reports and with peersConduct performance management activities for each direct report:Assign goals, developmental action plans at beginning of fiscal yearConduct performance reviews on an ongoing basisRecommend annual performance evaluation and merit for each direct reportConduct final evaluation and performance review with each direct reportConduct all necessary managerial functions including, but not limited to review of ongoing training requirements for team, approve expense reports, assess adherence to ABC’s Code of ConductPerforms related duties, as assignedWhat your background should look likeRequires some training in fields such as business administration, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and educationNormally requires a minimum of seven (7) years of experience developing business intelligence and/or analytic solutions with a minimum of two (2) years of experience leading or managing a team of developers and/or analystsStrong hands-on knowledge of one or more business intelligence tools and/or data visualization tools specifically Power BIWorking knowledge of relational databases and data modelsWorking knowledge of database architecture and data models specifically Data BricksAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingAbility to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlinesStrong organizational skills; attention to detailGood analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutionsGood interpersonal skills; effective team playerWhat Cencora offersWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day. The actual range may vary based on your locale.
