Custodian/Maintenance/Driver

- Clean and Sanitize all surfaces daily as needed.
- Deep clean and sanitize all surfaces weekly.
- Empty and dispose of all trash as needed.
- Tidy up restrooms daily.
- Sweep all floors daily.
- Mop all floors weekly/daily if needed.
- Maintain outside of property picking up trash, etc.
- Minor repair jobs as needed.
- Maintaining/cleaning church vehicles monthly.
- Snow removal of sidewalks.
- Driving youth and adults to/from Camp Swoneky.
- Driving/riding with clients to a shelter.
- Picking up donations when needed.
- Helping with driving during the busy seasons (such as daycamp and Christmas).
- Ongoing upkeep and repairs as able to facility and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the Corps Officers
- Must operate tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Must have basic janitorial skills (cleaning, painting, small building repairs)
- Must be well organized and efficient with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must possess a level of professionalism and competence with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, volunteers and community/clients.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding clientele.
- Must maintain a happy and professional work environment.
- Must be able to drive a 12 passenger van.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- One-two years of related experience in janitorial/maintenance work.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing. Must be able obtain and maintain driving privileges per The Salvation Army policy.
