Join us as a General Manager in one of Pukalani's premier Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and take the helm to create memorable dining experiences while steering the restaurant towards unparalleled success.Summary of ResponsibilitiesThe General Manager will prioritize, direct, and coordinate the activities of the restaurant to continually strengthen its brand position and maximize sales and profitability. This role demands a keen focus on effective management practices, compliance with regulations, and the ability to inspire a team towards operational excellence in the fast-paced QSR environment in Honolulu.Essential AccountabilitiesPeople:
  • Management Staffing/Development: Cover 100% of shifts with Managers-in-Charge (MICs) capable of running exceptional shifts.
  • Team Member Staffing/Development: Ensure all shifts are adequately staffed in key positions.
  • Succession Plan: Maintain an active succession plan for General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Shift Leader, and Training Team positions.
  • Employee Morale: Promote fair and equal treatment of all employees, follow up on Voice of Customer (VOC) action plans, provide timely performance evaluations, and address employee concerns urgently.
  • Management Training: Teach and delegate recruiting techniques, training & coaching skills, and the evaluation process.
  • Coaching: Enhance employee performance through effective coaching.
Compliance:
  • Government Laws: Ensure strict compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Company Policies: Enforce all company policies and address violations promptly.
Financials:
  • Inventory and Labor: Understand and control key performance indicators (KPIs) for Inventory & Labor.
  • Follow-Up: Daily follow-up on Sales, Cost of Sales (COS), and Cost of Labor (COL) variances.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and correct COS, COL, and operational variances.
  • Management Training: Educate management team on ordering, projections, scheduling, cost awareness, and Profit & Loss analysis.
  • Growth: Drive year-over-year growth in sales and profitability.
Operations:
  • Customer Service: Deliver attentive, hospitable, and quick customer service on every shift.
  • Food Quality: Maintain high food quality standards consistently.
  • Cleanliness: Provide a clean and sanitary environment for customers at all times.
  • Standards: Uphold and execute standards on all shifts.
Assets:
  • Maintenance: Consistently maintain exterior and interior grounds and facilities.
  • Asset Management: Correct asset deficiencies promptly.
  • Liability: Eliminate potential liabilities with urgency.
Safety:
  • Culture: Foster a store culture that prioritizes safety.
  • Enforcement: Strictly enforce safety rules and policies on all shifts.
  • Response: Address safety concerns urgently.
Availability:
  • Work Schedule: Minimum 5-day, 50-hour work week with open availability as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Flexibility: Must be available to work anywhere on the island and have reliable transportation.
  • Other Functions: Perform other duties as assigned.
