We are dedicated to supporting the success and growth of our students and faculty members.Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as the Dean of Mathematics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics education, substantial experience in a college environment, and demonstrated leadership skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Mathematics department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic programs and services.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of mathematics education within the institution.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to develop and revise curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and student needs.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of faculty and staff within the Mathematics department.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, including those set forth by the Florida College System and SACSCOC.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field required. Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a college environment, including 4 years of college-level teaching experience.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory experience at the department chair level or higher in a post-secondary setting.
  • Familiarity with the Florida College System and SACSCOC or other regional accreditation agency policies and procedures preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
