General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Technical Education and Support Application Specialist/Lead Physician Trainer must develop and maintain a deep and broad functional knowledge of the application and related workflows, and is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, management, training, and support of all application-related training/upgrades/GoLives. This includes developing project plans, identifying and scheduling resources, and coordinating efforts between team members, IT and stakeholders to complete projects according to plan. The Application Specialist creates and/or directly oversees the development/revision of all application-related training and training materials. It is essential that this role create and maintain highly effective relationships and ongoing communication with application user groups and associated Information Technology teams, as well as participate in related team meetings. The Application Specialist/Lead Physician Trainer is expected to participate in training environment build and provide essential training and support to physician end users throughout the organization.Education: Master's degreeAdditional requirements:Type of degree: Clinical Informatics, Education, Management, Nursing, RPh, or related Clinical SpecialtyLicensure/Certification/Registration
-Certification in appropriate EPIC application(s) within 1 yr. of hireExperience:
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience
Prior specific functional responsibilities: Experience in an acute healthcare setting
Preferred experience: Experience teaching diverse learners, proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience managing projects
Other experience requirements: Experience using electronic medical records.
