- Develop project engineering procedures to ensure alignment with Bechtel corporate Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), NS&E GBU Engineering Department Procedures Instructions (EDPIs), contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards
- Review multi-engineering discipline deliverables to ensure cohesiveness, coordination, and quality
- Develop and present training on procedures, misc. policies, and instructions for engineering personnel
- Identify, prepare, and report project engineering quality metrics and associated trends
- Issue engineering quality reports and bulletins
- Present quality reports to Bechtel Management and client personnel.
- Participate in project quality surveillances and audits conducted by the Quality Assurance Department on project.
- Investigate and close Condition Reports and associated actions assigned to the Quality Engineering team
- Monitor timely closure of condition reports and associated actions assigned to other engineering disciplines
- Attend Condition Report Review Committee (CRRC) meetings, if assigned
- Communicate quality issues to the engineering team in the form of positive feedback and lessons learned
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team
- Coordinate with client representatives, as required
- Perform other related work, as assigned by the project Quality Engineering Group Supervisor
- Must be authorized to live and work in the US without sponsorship.
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Prior experience working in a nuclear quality and safety environment.
- Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as NQA-1, regarding Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants, or ISO-9001.
- Working knowledge of Bechtel Engineering procedures, instructions, guides, and standards.
- Working knowledge of project engineering deliverables, such as drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of Codes and Standards pertinent to nuclear industry.
- Ability to conduct general training on various engineering topics, including procedures, instructions, and guides.
- Previous commercial power and/or DOE project experience.
- Some lead or supervisory experience.
- Experience with AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant design.
