Hours of Work : 8:00am - 5:00pmDays Of Week : Monday - FridayWork Shift :Job Description : Your Job: Job Purpose: Within the Support, Clinical and Allied Health Services Division, is responsible for setting objectives, planning, staffing and directing activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility; i.e. Environmental Services, Pharmacy, Lab, Cardiovascular, Radiology, Respiratory, Physical Medicine, Materials Management, Nutrition and Food Services, Security and Public Safety, Project Management, Facilities Management and Transport. Your Job Requirements: Education MHA/MBA/MS in hospital administration, healthcare administration or specialty field within areas of responsibility or equivalent education/experience preferred. Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred) Minimum Work Experience: Previous administrative experience in hospital administration or related specialty field preferred. Your Job Responsibilities: As a member of the Hospital's administrative team, participates in developing Hospital objectives, plans and policies. Assists in the preparation of hospital/departmental budgets and allocation of funds based upon reviews of department estimates/recommendations, familiarity with operating procedures and cost/revenue projections. Assumes responsibility of Administrator on-call according to rotating schedule. Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames as part of the overall mission. Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards. Attire Standards Collaborates with other departments to create systems and problem-solve ongoing issues that affect departmental/organizational goals and/or patient care delivery. Communication Confidentiality of Hospital and Patient Information Defines performance objectives and metrics for the department and assesses the level of competence of staff in a timely manner. Demonstrates a clear understanding of regulations applicable to patient care and/or other department functions. Ensures the efficient, economic and quality performance of assigned departments/areas of responsibility to support or provide quality healthcare services. Follows the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens. Hospital Exposure Control Standards/Blood bourne and Airborne Pathogens Identification Incorporates quality improvement data and/or patient satisfaction data into departmental goals. Interprets Hospital and department policies and procedures to support, clinical and nursing departments as is appropriate. Investigates new techniques, practices, equipment and products. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast of the latest trends in hospital administration. Manages Human Resource to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations. Participates in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as required. Participates on the Hospital administrative team. Performs other related administrative/Managerial or technical duties as required/directed. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a division team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the division's ability to meet its goals and objectives. Provides and maintains effective communications with medical staff, the community and all levels of supervision and staff. Provides consultation, counsel and guidance to key personnel; e.g., supervisors, coordinators, clinical and non-clinical Directors. Provides leadership and guidance to other leaders and staff in goal-setting, problem-solving, resource management, and outcome achievement. Respect for Others Responsible for division's operational excellence; ensures division delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards. Responsible for fiscal management of division and ensures proper utilization of organization's financial resources.
