- Greet visitors in a positive and courteous manner.
- Receive and weigh recyclable materials, such as glass, aluminum and plastic.
- Calculate payment for materials at established prices, and provide receipt.
- Maintain proper records of materials and amounts purchased.
- Instruct visitors regarding proper handling and bundling of recyclable materials.
- Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and Recology’s policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and surrounding area.
- Report problems immediately to supervisor.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills required.
- Some forklift experience, forklift certification is preferred.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of common collection procedures.
