Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II ( Onsite )Location: Reedsville, PA,17084Role Overview: As a Development Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the development, design, and integration of components and tooling related to medical ultrasound transducers and their manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will encompass various stages including design, optimization, realization, integration, lifecycle management, and verification, ensuring alignment with user and business requirements, compliance standards, quality benchmarks, and cost-effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, check, and optimize components and tooling for medical ultrasound transducers.
  • Develop high-level and detailed designs adhering to product requirements and reference architecture.
  • Integrate existing and/or purchased elements and parts into transducers and manufacturing processes.
  • Finalize designs, write verification plans, and conduct tests to ensure quality.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product Industrialization, and operations to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Provide input to project planning, maintain structured progress reports, and ensure documentation compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in mechanical construction design with knowledge of mass manufacturability aspects.
  • Rapid development of engineering concepts into functional prototypes.
  • SolidWorks proficiency and experience in tolerance analysis.
  • Ability to complete detailed MCAD designs and drawings from high-level concepts.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and experience with FEA for structural and thermal simulations.
  • Experience in CNC machining and/or CNC machined part design.
  • Familiarity with injection molding or injection molded part design.
  • Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through hands-on experience.
  • Experience in documenting test plans/reports, technical reviews, etc.
  • Proficiency in metrology and hands-on failure analysis related to design or manufacturing processes.
