Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTAssist the Radiation Safety Officer in all applicable Radiation Safety activities.Assist with and leads implementation, acceptance, and commissioning of new Radiation Oncology and Physics equipment.Maintain Radiation Oncology information systems and ensures data is up to date and secure.Oversee regulatory accreditation and ensures compliance with all quality and legislative standards.Participate in treatment planning in the care of the patients and oversees treatment planning by Dosimetrists.Perform calibration and quality assurance to ensure patients are receiving appropriate doses of radiation.Perform quality assurance on CT simulator to ensure equipment is functioning and creating accurate images.Work collaboratively with staff, manufacturers, and field service engineers to minimize disruption of services.Perform treatment plan and other quality assurance measures to ensure patients receive the most appropriate radiation treatments.Plan and provide education to department staff to increase knowledge of practices and standards of care.Support and participate in clinical research to ensure effective procedures and better patient outcomes.QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree - RequiredDoctorates - Preferred2 years experience - PreferredPhysician License (DR) - Required - AND -Medical Physicist State License or Certification by (ABR) or (ABMP) - Required or must obtain within 1 to 1 1/2 years of hire.TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 20%EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERIt is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.Franciscan Alliance reserves a Right of Conscience objection in the event local, state or Federal ordinances that violate its values and the free exercise of its religious rights.Franciscan Alliance is committed to equal employment opportunity.
