- Prepare, draft, and revise contract documents specifically related to Truck and Equipment Leasing and Syndication.
- Track contract activity to ensure documentation is electronically sent and executed in a timely manner.
- Maintain certificates of insurance for all leased equipment, including verification of required coverages, maintenance of tracking system, obtaining required renewals, and disbursement of insurance information to funding partners.
- Maintain all internal document tracking and informational systems.
- Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate parties regarding contract status.
- Closely collaborate with the applicable internal teams to ensure contracts meet legal guidelines and Wheels policies.
- Maintain contract templates in the Company’s electronic files and maintain all original contracts in fireproof file drawers.
- Assist with all aspects of Legal Department administration, as required.
- Other Tasks as assigned.
- This position has no leadership responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, be flexible, and be able to work independently, prioritize and complete projects effectively and efficiently in a time sensitive environment (often with tight deadlines).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office environment.
- Experience with contract management systems preferred.
- Familiarity with DocuSign and Salesforce a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years of industry experience preferred.
- Previous experience in contract writing/negotiation a plus
- Previous experience in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred, including as a paralegal.
