- Acting as the abrasive blasting technical lead during the testing & analysis of current products, new products, and applications including university programs.
- Responsible for completing all in-field abrasive blasting product demonstrations and in-house blast trials.
- Within nine months of employment gain certification as AMPP CIP Level 1 inspector and C7 Abrasive Blaster certification
- Responsible for keeping detailed technical analyses of abrasive blasting data from field trials based on key quantitative and qualitative metrics as well as VOC and presenting data to commercial, engineering, and operations teams.
- Adhere to documentation process for all field and in-house testing activity.
- Support of new product and application development programs taking concepts to reality utilizing a detailed tollgate process.
- Support the development and publishing of case histories, testing, and technical papers to solidify leadership position within industry.
- Travel with regional sales leaders to provide technical support to end users and distribution network.
- Support the development of key marketing materials including presentations, literature etc. for field, website management and development, social media etc.
- Ability to lead technical demonstrations of new product capabilities.
- Responsible for working with the commercial team to establish key product and application development goals and objectives in accordance with corporate mandates and providing clear leadership and direction to the entire group maximizing the probability of success.
- High School Diploma Required
- Experience
- 1 - 5 years of progressive experience in abrasive blasting or technical manufacturing
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field such as abrasive blasting, automotive, welding, farming, or construction.
- Previous Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (technical or project related work) preferred

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively drive field application testing
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make recommendations for taking concept to reality in a tollgate process
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers, end users, sales leads, operations and sourcing to effectively deliver new applications in new markets
- Effective oral communication and presentation skills which demonstrate the ability to effectively convey and explain information and tactfully deal with diverse people, situations and ideas
- Technical Skills
- PC experience including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of product (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills directed toward driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities in technology subjects
- The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual
- The ability to read and understand documents and drawings
- The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
