- Welcomes and acknowledges each owner/guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using their name when possible
- Promotes a fun and relaxing atmosphere for owners/guests in all recreational activities by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude
- Promotes F&B offerings and assists service around pool deck when needed.
- Promotes programmed pool activities and supports activities team as needed.
- Actively listens and responds positively to owner/guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process (e.g., LEARN, PLEASED, etc/) to resolve issues and build trust.
- Liaises with other departments to ensure owner/guest requests and concerns are met in a timely manner.
- Anticipates owner/guests service needs, including asking questions to better understand their needs and watching/listening for their preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
- Engages owners/guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
- Provides aid to injured owners/guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and completes safety training and certifications as required.
- Promotes the pool deck rules and regulations.
- Handles sensitive issues with associates and/or owners/guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality
- Maintains awareness of suspicious persons on property premises.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
- Thanks owners/guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
- Provide assistance in other departments if staffing levels require.
- To perform all reasonable tasks as required by Resort Management and business demands.
- Should be able to confidently communicate in Spanish and English.
- Should be extrovert and feel comfortable communicating to larger groups.
- Should demonstrate strong customer service skills.
- Should possess strong inter-personal skills and have a team player attitude.
- Should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Should have a valid first aid certificate.
- Frequent bending, kneeling and stooping, lifting until to 20kg, climbing ladders and up to 5 floors of stairs.
- Good visual observation.
- Resistance to inclement weather conditions (heat, sun and humidity)
- Walking and working outside of air-controlled areas for longer periods.
- Should be in good physical health.
- Be punctual and always wear a name tag and uniform during working hours.
- Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
- Comply with MVW and Marriott International polices and procedures.
- Be proactive and have a flexible approach to work, meeting the needs of the team and the business always.
- Maintain an attitude and commitment to provide excellent service to all customers and associates. Respond sensitively to the needs and feelings of others, regardless of status or position; accept interpersonal differences and maintain a constructive rapport with all associates and customers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Marriott product lines.
- Maintain computer systems knowledge (MS Office, e-mail etc)
