- Review and analyze results of studies conducted by University Affiliated Research Centers to identify critical key management requirements and opportunities for tradeoffs between performance, size, weight, and power and re-programmability of algorithms and trust anchors.
- Acting as a liaison between the assigned IIPT and the user community, identify functional and interface requirements to include but not limited to key management plans, key management data items, and key management architectures.
- Take into consideration key management infrastructure (KMI) requirements for respective ECUs and map ECU capabilities to KMI specification compliance.
- Leverage KMI 3300 reference documents and other documentation to formulate KMAs for ECUs and document any related constraints to fully define KMA requirements.
- Identify Risks associated with tradeoffs and technology gaps and develop risk assessments and mitigations.
- Identify and analyze operational considerations and constraints of key management efforts that would inhibit effective fielding, operations, and support of the user community.
- Assess Key Management (KM) options and work with NSA and stakeholders to identify KM alternatives that support end user data concepts of operation while complying with KMI 3300
- Aid in the development of documents (technical, security, risk and test) required for entry to Milestone B.
- Other duties as assigned within the primary responsibilities of a Senior Cryptographic Engineer, Key Management Role and User Community Liaison.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several project
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field – Computer or Systems Engineering with a Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience providing cryptographic engineering systems and related key management design
- Experience drafting highly technical documentation, briefings, and reports
- Experience leading Integrated Product Teams
- Ability to effectively communicate highly technical information both orally and in writing
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Knowledge of DoD Acquisition and Risk Management processes
- Ability to work with a wide variety of contributors in a fast-paced and demanding environment is essential.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
