  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration: * Current Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 90 days of hire
Job Specific Duties: * Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice; knowledge and skill in techniques of good patient care.
  • Proficient in the use of current technology, including Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and effectively use electronic medical records and other systems and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation and records.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of assignments that require the use of independent judgment, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cultivate effective working relationships and work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals, managers, and patients.
