Facilities Maintenance Technician - Contract Position

- Managing building and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Responding to urgent maintenance calls.
- Preparing for emergencies and other action plans.
- Testing building systems and promoting safety within the building.
- Inspecting buildings' structures and equipment to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Repairing any noted issues of facility or equipment including but not limited general building maintenance, electrical equipment and wiring, HVAC equipment and plumbing.
- Managing equipment and supply needs, including furniture, and climate control.
- Reporting to the Facilities Manager on a regular basis.
- Supervising and coordinating the work of contractors and maintenance workers.
- Documenting processes and keeping maintenance records.
- Assist the facilities department of NA, possibly outside of your direct location.
- Work with other Evolution departments to maintain and improve our facilities.
- Coordinate with Evolution departments to ensure all facilities maintenance requests are fulfilled.
- Coordinate any impacts other Evolution departments may incur due to facilities works are completed with minimal impact to the company as a whole.
- Perform other duties, as asked by the manager, which is related to this position.
- A completed course in facilities management will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance.
- Understanding and ability to read technical drawings, procedures, manufacturer's manuals etc.
- Experience in building and equipment maintenance. Including building heating, ventilation, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Experience in basic building repairs and facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning and schedules.
- Ability to respond to building and equipment emergencies.
- Knowledge of building safety regulations and protocols.
- Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to get on with a wide range of people.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
