Supervises daily activities in the front lobby of Presbyterian Hospital in relation to the information desk. Ensure visitors are greeted in a professional manner to make their visit to the Presbyterian Hospital a positive experience. Efficiently handle inquiries and ensure a smooth flow of people in and out of the hospital. Ideal Candidate:One to two years leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
  • One to two years leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience working with volunteers/ being a volunteer preferred.
  • Standard supervisory experience working with a diverse team in a high-traffic setting.
  • Ability to effectively and empathetically interact with customers to understand their needs and explain complicated but sensitive information about care, while respecting privacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members, employer groups, brokers, physicians, and physician office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies.
  • Outgoing, personable, and comfortable with setting appropriate boundaries.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Creating schedules, signage, and spreadsheets a plus.
  • Proficient in problem solving and creative thinking in various scenarios; willingness to think outside of the box and work as a team to come up with solutions and ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Supervises daily operations for the information desk based on departmental and organizational business goals and expectations.
  • Oversees the schedules and coverage of the information desk with paid staff/volunteers. If the paid or volunteer personnel cannot cover the desk, this position must be able to step in as needed.
  • Develops, maintains, and utilizes a daily checklist for the information desk area to ensure cleanliness and operational function.
  • Regularly ensures information binders and tools that the staff and volunteers use at the information desk are updated with current information and resources.
  • Consistently exhibits a strong supervisory presence by utilizing a solution-oriented, collaborative approach while at the desk and during all interactions.
  • Stays current with essential information about hospital services and policies by attending leadership trainings and communicating with manager.
  • Assists in screening and hiring new staff and volunteers, as needed.
  • Communicates Presbyterian policies to visitors and connects with security to address issues that arise.
  • Collaborates with and supports the Volunteer Services department by partnering with the leadership team and assisting with tasks, as needed.
