- Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the roofing services and products offered by the company. Familiarity with various roofing materials, their advantages, and their applicability to different roof types and projects is crucial.
- Lead Generation: Identify potential customers within your assigned areas through research, demographic analysis, and compilation of a property list in need of roofing services.
- Door-to-Door Sales: Approach homeowners and businesses in your designated area to introduce the company's roofing services. Be ready to articulate the benefits, address inquiries, and provide comprehensive information about the company.
- Customer Consultation: Listen attentively to potential clients' roofing concerns and needs. Evaluate their requirements and offer expert advice and solutions based on the company's services.
- Estimations and Proposals: Provide on-the-spot estimates and proposals, detailing the scope of work, materials, and pricing. Carry relevant marketing materials and documents.
- Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate terms and pricing with potential clients. Address objections or concerns they may raise.
- Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals you encounter. Establishing trust and rapport is vital for success in door-to-door sales.
- Follow-Up: After the initial visit, follow up with potential clients to answer additional questions, provide more information, and ultimately secure the sale.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of interactions with potential clients, including contact information and specific needs or concerns.
- Time Management: Efficiently plan your route to maximize visits and cover as many potential clients as possible within your designated area.
- Adaptability: Prepare for various responses, including rejections. The ability to handle rejection professionally and move on to the next potential customer is essential.
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service, addressing any issues or concerns throughout the roofing project.
- Meeting Sales Targets: Possibly meet specific sales targets or quotas set by the company. Regularly report on sales activities and progress.
- MUST HAVE A LATE MODEL TRUCK (Half ton or Larger) or the eagerness to invest in one before starting the job.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to handle rejection and overcome objections with persistence.
- Familiarity with the Austin, TX residential market is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
