to learn more about our full benefits packageJOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Mechanic works under the supervision of the Engineering Manager/ Supervisor, to perform general maintenance duties. Assists other trades in completing maintenance and repair tasks.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs scheduled (PM) Maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Performs unscheduled/ corrective maintenance on the building, equipment and hospital work orders as assigned.
- Troubleshoots problems accurately and takes initiative to repair, research and resolve problems.
- Instructs fellow trades persons in application of specialized troubleshooting and repair techniques as directed.
- Submits purchase requisitions to maintain adequate repair parts and supplies.
- Performs snow removal tasks.
- Make security rounds to check spaces and secure building.
- Makes equipment rounds to check equipment assigned for operation and safety.
- Stand duties as a Shift Engineer as per shift schedule.
- Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.

- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.

- Experience
- Minimum of three years of similar work experience.
- The ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses as required
- Demonstrates professionalism and courteous etiquette.
- Demonstrates flexibility, positive interpersonal relations in fast paced work environment.
- Ability to calibrate equipment.
- Ability to work on and operate mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to communicate with interior/exterior customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
- Ability to design and create layouts.
- Able to read/ understand blueprints.
