Parametrix, a 100% employee-owned consulting firm, has an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Transportation Planner to join our Greater Washington team in support of high profile planning studies. We offer remote flexibility and the opportunity to meaningfully connect with your team in the office.This position will play a crucial role in developing and implementing transportation plans to improve the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of transportation systems. You will lead complex transportation projects, provide analysis and recommendations, and collaborate with internal teams and external project stakeholders to address transportation challenges and enhance mobility for communities.Responsibilities include:Project and Task Management: Manage tasks or transportation projects, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, government agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure project success.Collaborate with transportation leaders at Parametrix regarding firm-wide technical skills, project delivery and strategic pursuits. This role will focus on project management and delivery, business development, and client development. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative approach, and the ability to partner with clients, agency staff, and co-workers are crucial.Facilitate and develop top client relationships. Act as a primary contact with specific clients to ensure services are meeting their needs and expectations.Provide mentorship, development, and support growth of the Transportation team in Greater Washington.Qualifications include:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience and proven consulting experience in the A/E industry specializing in transportation planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, or closely related field.
  • Established professional relationships with strategic clients.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program.
