Come work for one of the most unique law offices in Michiganat least for location, as we are located in a barn!! A legal office run by a solo estate planning and probate attorney in a remarkable country setting in Milford, MI is looking to hire a bright, articulate, conscientious, and organized Assistant for legal, accounting, and administrative duties, initially on a part-time basis (16 - 20 hours per week). Must have administrative office experience along with either legal administrative experience or accounting experience. Salary commensurate with job and education history.The Ideal candidate must type 55+ wpm and possess and be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of MS Office, Acrobat and Excel. You will type documents drafted by the attorney, coordinate with our remote paralegal, maintain calendars, organize files, prepare dictation and draft routine documents and correspondence, respond to correspondence and e-mail, including phone interactions, and interact with current clients, prospective clients, court personnel and attorneys. You will be responsible for accounting duties including invoicing, accounting for trust and probate reporting and similar projects. You will be able to run a variety of reporting options in Excel. You will work on projects involving concentration, accuracy, initiative, organization, and tact. You are a self-starter, detail oriented, can handle multiple projects at once, and can work independently or as part of a team.Great job for someone looking to get back in the workplace, someone looking to slow down their work life, or someone trying to gain new experience.
