You will also be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the day-ahead and intraday market processes and production fleet planning, both for the smooth running of the European markets and for supporting market players and collecting data for the operational management of the grid. You will identify the necessary preventive and/or corrective measures and coordinate them with the various internal and external stakeholders (regional planners, planning engineers, real-time engineers, ARPs, etc.).
  • You will perform grid simulations and critically examine the results. You will solve any process-related problems independently.
  • You will support the day-ahead market process as Elia's contact person towards external stakeholders. You will ensure that the information (nominations, international exchanges) needed for grid safety calculations is collected correctly.
  • You will report results and decisions to all stakeholders and convene meetings when necessary to ensure efficient and correct information flow. You will prepare necessary actions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will prepare and share reports to monitor key performance indicators within the national dispatching centre.
  • You will implement ad hoc or recurring measures to ensure the quality of data used to manage the grid or shared with our internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will follow up administrative tasks and support customers (CC, phone, email, ...), you process and publish market data (e.g. auctions,...) for internal and external purposes.
  • You will keep the operational procedures implementing the processes regarding grid safety calculations, capacity calculations, day-ahead market monitoring and regulation model forecasts up-to-date.
  • You will play an active role in training new colleagues.
  • You will participate in development projects within NCC. This can be at any stage of the project: design, implementation, testing, etc.
  • You will monitor the proper functioning of certain IT applications and identify and describe necessary evolutions to support the operational planning process.
  • You will take on an expert role within your team for specific processes (e.g. grid calculations, market development, congestion forecasting, renewable generation forecasting, capacity calculations, management of outage planning, etc.). In this role, you will identify, coordinate and represent the team for all projects affecting the processes for which you are the team's point of contact.
