WE BRING YOU TOMORROW’S OPPORTUNITY, TODAYVolt is hiring a Process Engineering Technician to work onsite for our client in Durham, NC in a direct hire opportunity.The Process Engineering Technician will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing equipment and processes utilized in the Product Performance Testing Laboratory. This role demands a combination of technical expertise to oversee equipment, facilitate testing, and support engineering tasks, ensuring adherence to processes and optimizing systems.Key Responsibilities of the Process Engineering Technician, include:
  • Execute time-sensitive assignments to ensure the continuity of performance testing.
  • Assist in designing and setting up test apparatus and equipment under the guidance of engineering staff.
  • Support engineering projects, including prototype development and process modifications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering personnel.
  • Adhere to strict quality assurance and control protocols to uphold the integrity of test results.
  • Evaluate and maintain proper technical parameters for equipment applications.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in regular reviews and audits, implementing corrective measures as directed by quality management.
  • Follow all established safety guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements within the testing laboratory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for all test setups, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to test procedures and equipment configurations.
This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.Qualification/Requirements:
  • Technical degree or Associate's degree in Engineering, Industrial, Process, or related fields; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role within a laboratory or engineering environment, with direct exposure to testing and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in using various types of laboratory and engineering tools, software, and documentation practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
