- Inspection Tools, Calibrations, and Standards:
- Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in the following disciplines – dimensional, optical, physical/mechanical, – in order to ensure compliance with published specifications. Perform annual and monthly calibrations.
- Maintain primary calibration standards along with secondary and/or working calibration standards. Inspect and evaluate new calibration standards for proper operation before releasing to calibration laboratory.
- Develop calibration procedures and methods, according to detailed specifications, drawings, and other technical requirements. Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.
- Analyze measurement data for identifying abnormalities and trends.
- Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
- Recommend standards for use in calibration applications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the calibration laboratory’s quality systems per published standards and guidelines.
- Operations Support and Audits:
- Prepare samples for evaluation internally and externally.
- Provide technical advice to other departments of the organization.
- Integrate all quality activities with Lean Continuous Improvement activities.
- Assist with project reduction costs associated with poor quality and/or excessive waste.
- Audits of daily operations on the production floor.
- Auditing of material in compliance to AC10 standards.
- Training:
- Provide measurement device training to Production Floor Associates
- PPAP Process:
- Manage all PPAP requirements for new and changes to dies/profiles:
- Coordinate and communications between functional teams and Engineering
- Perform and manage all testing, tensile, and optical comparator data for ides and PPAP results.
- Maintain and update Keyence Optical Comparator programming and run reports to identify opportunities.
- Support the Quality process through projects as required.
- Associates degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent education/experience
- At least 2 years of experience being a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong mathematical skills, data collection, and working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
- Ability to communicate Quality issues both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with AutoCad & Inventor (AutoCad 2019 preferred)
- Proficient in analytical geometry and physics
- Experience with GD&T
- CNC Mill experience
- Strong Mechanical/Problem Solving Skills
